American Roulette is one of the most significant games in casinos.
The most recognizable section of roulette is of course the typical wheel, which is divided into 37 compartments, numbered from 0 to 36 ( not sequentially).
Number 0 is colored green, and the rest of the numbers are colored in black and white, and are not arranged by numerical array. The object of the game is to predict the ¨compartment¨ where the ball will come to rest. The American Roulette game is conducted by a dealer, who receives bets and cash out the wins.
American Roulette is very similar to the French Roulette, with two exceptions. First, the table is smaller and the number of players limited, and secondly, each player is issued his or her own private color of chips, to keep track of his or her faster than the French one.
How the game is played
Each player is issued chips of his or her private color, without their values printed on them. The value of the chips is decided by the player at the time of purchase, but it must be within the maximum and minimum bet limits, displayed on the table. The house may change the table minimum during the game. Having chips of their own private color allows the players to place their chips on top of other players’ chips.
The game begins when the croupier declares, "Place your bets!”
The players place one or more chips in the different spots on the layout: on any number or group they hope will win. The croupier then spins the wheel and drops the ball in the opposite direction of the spinning wheel. Once the croupier declares, "No more bets”, the players must stop placing their bets. When the ball comes to rest in one of the 37 compartments, the croupier announces the winning number. He then removes the losing bets from the layout and pays out the winning bets. Until all winning bets have been paid out, players are not permitted to touch them. Color chips shall only be used at the table where bought and shall not be taken away. Once a player has finished playing, he or she must exchange any color chips they might have for casino chips. If the players do not exchange the chips on the day of purchase, they may as well exchange them next day, but only for casino chips of denomination equal to the table minimum.
